KidCash for Claude, Cursor & Windsurf

KidCash speaks the Model Context Protocol. Connect any MCP client and manage allowances, chores, wishlists, and transactions from chat — no extra app needed.

Endpoint

https://www.kidcashapp.com/api/agent/mcp

Streamable HTTP transport. Auth: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Generate an API key in Settings — same key Siri and the Apple Watch use.

Claude Desktop

Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows). Uses mcp-remote to bridge stdio to our HTTP endpoint:

On Pro/Team plans you can add custom MCP connectors directly:

Read

kids.list — Every kid + balances
kids.get — One kid in detail (txns, wishlist, chores)
settings.get — Currency, theme, feature toggles
chores.pending — Chore completions awaiting approval
transactions.list — Transaction history with optional date filter

Write

transactions.add — Credit a kid (chores, allowance, gifts)
transactions.subtract — Debit a kid (purchases, fines)
transactions.transfer — Move money between checking / savings / charity
chores.approve — Approve pending chore (auto-credits if value > 0)
chores.reject — Reject pending chore
wishlist.add — Add a savings goal to a kid's wishlist
wishlist.remove — Remove a savings goal

Security

Auth is per-account via your existing API key — the LLM only ever sees your kids.
All write tools are reversible from the dashboard.
Tool descriptions cap individual transactions at $10,000 to guard against accidental large amounts.
Rate limited to 120 requests / minute per IP.
